Make something with your hands.
When the world is loud, make something with your hands. Dig your fingers into the dough. Let your wrists get sore and burn your thumb. Carve or sew or paint the mantle. Cry into the batter if you need to. Pay attention to detail but don't worry if it's not perfect. Create something that you can touch and see and smell. If you can eat it, all the better. Let your whole body focus on creating one beautiful (or not so beautiful), real, tangible thing.
Take a deep breath and make something with your hands.
